JONATHAN LEAVING BEHIND TRAILS OF PROBLEMS – THE NEED FOR BUHARI TO BRACE UP FOR THE UPHILL TASK AHEAD
By Zik Gbemre
With the deplorable situation in every facet of the Nigerian Economy, it is evident that the soon –to –be-outgoing President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan government is leaving behind trails’ of plenty of unresolved problems affecting the already ‘Weakened Nigerian Economy’. That invariably means you, as the next President of the country, seriously need to braise up to start working very hard immediately you assume office from May 29, 2015.
In fact, not even one second should be wasted in addressing the problems being left behind by the Jonathan administration. Imagine Jonathan appointing people few days to the end of his administration. This shows PDP has fully lost focus and they have no purpose in government circles. You, as Nigeria’s next President in few days time, must sit up to end all these political nonsense.
The truth is that everybody is waiting anxiously to see you in action once you assume office. And for things to work smoothly, every of your action has to count, starting with putting in place “Official Discipline” in all aspects of the government sector. Indiscipline has made every sector in Nigeria to be replete with enormous problems. For example, at this very moment there is no power supply at Arik airline office in Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. And their excuse is because petrol is sold as high as N500 a litre in Lagos. One then wonders why can’t they buy the petrol at whatever rate to use in their generators? They have refused to do this because they do not care, neither do they have any fear to loose customers.
Everybody is just doing whatever they like because we have a government under Jonathan that lacks discipline. Lack of official discipline and unrestrained greed has brought about official corruption in government circles that have caused ‘public disorder’ in high places.
Official discipline at top government circles will make all these governors with stolen mandate and stolen public wealth at the States level to live up to expectations until they are sacked by the Election Tribunals and the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
