Johnny Emerges EGCDF Chairman, Promises to Work With State Government, Stakeholders

After a protracted crisis over Chevron Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU), a new leadership of the Egbema/Gbaramatu Central Development Foundation, EGCDF has emerged with a promise to work with the State Government and other development stakeholders to improve the fortunes of the people.

The new leadership of the Foundation led by Chief Michael Johnny said that they would build on the successes recorded by the immediate past leadership.

Chief Johnny stated this in Warri shortly after he emerges as the Chairman of the Egbema/Gbaramatu Central Development Foundation.

He commended the Doyah Tiemoh led Executive for its remarkable stewardship which brought meaningful development to the communities.

While pledging to attract development to the Egbema/Gbaramatu area, Chief Johnny urged the people to remain united and collaborate with the body to ensure the rapid development of the area.

Also speaking, the Treasurer of EGCDF, Comrade Sheriff Mulade assured the people that the area would witness more rapid development under the new leadership.

Comrade Mulade, however, called for patience, unity and cooperation from the people of the area.

On his part, the immediate past Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Doyah-Tiemo attributed the successes recorded during his tenure to the support of the people and appealed that the same cooperation be extended to the new leadership.

The Egbema/Gbaramatu Central Development Foundation, is the regional body responsible for the development of oil producing communities in Egbema and Gbaramatu Kingdoms in Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State.
