IBADA-AMUKPE COMMUNITY ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

Ibada Community in Amukpe – Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has elected their first ever executive committee to oversee the affairs of their community for a period of two years running.
The duly elected officers are; Mr. Michael Mieawe (President), Amb. Kelly Igho Erute (Secretary General), Omatie Ofomala (Director of Finance), Hon. Paul Umukoro (Patron), Apostle Dele Otuburu (Spokesman) amongst others.
Amb. Kelly Igho Erute, the Secretary General of the body who reacted to the recent judgment between Ovwore Community, Kokorogho children / Sir Akpeki Komori appraised the outcome of the court judgment, remarking that the judges were not biased in their judgment.
He warned that perpetrators of evil in their community should desist from any act that will lead to breakdown of law and order in the community, just as he admonished investors to come and invest in the community, assuring that they will be giving the support they needed for them to thrive better in their businesses.
Ambassador Erute while explaining further that before now, they were under Ovwore, he noted that they are now an autonomous community of their own, enshrined with the powers to approve lands for investors and as well collect compensation for damaged crops.
He added that the community is using this medium in inviting the general public to the inauguration ceremony of the new officers coming up by the month of May, 2016.
