Comr. Blessed Hossana Ejogharado, a veteran journalist has enjoined Christians to look up to God for blessings and longevity as he celebrated his 77th birthday.

Comr. Ejogharado stated this during his birthday thanksgiving church service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Orerokpe Okpe Local Government Area, noting that, “look up to God for blessings and longevity as this has been the secret of my life.”

In his testimony, Comr. Ejogharado said he was born on 25th of June, 1943, saying he decided to celebrate his 77th year birthday when he found out that most of his mates were already dead and some others suffering from chronic diseases but by the special grace of God, he is health and strong.

He stated further that he had experienced a lot of fatal accidents which led to lost of his friends and co-passengers but God saved him.

Earlier on in his sermon titled: “Unity in Christ” during the thanksgiving, Bishop Blessing Erifeta, Bishop, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Sapele Diocese said longevity is of the lord.

He said the issue of longevity is between you and the lord to settle, adding, “if you want to live long, go to God for it. The words of our mouth determines the length of our life”.

Bishop Erifets added, “we shouldn’t allow the devil to shut our life. Your enjoyment of longevity is based on your faith in God.”

He advised Christians to control their tongue if they want to live a comfortable life, adding that they should honour their parents and the elderly in the society, he also advised members of the society to key into the celebration of old people for their life to change and enjoy their blessings.

The ceremony was graced by Comr. Victor Okies Okpomor, chairman, NUJ Warri Correspondents Chapel, Hon. Sunday Apah, Ag. Chairman, NUJ Ughelli Correspondents Chapel, Comr. Matthias Ogbagah, Secretary, Ughelli Correspondents Chapel and Comr. George Igbi.
