By Our Correspondent
The Special Assistant on News Media to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Mr. Michael Tidi, has stressed the need for Deltans from all works of life to support the governor in his quest to transform and develop the state.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday when the Governor and his team embarked on the commissioning of various completed road projects and inspection of ongoing ones, as part of activities marking the first year anniversary of the Okowa administration, Tidi said, “The massive infrastructural development that was ongoing in the state, particularly the various roads and urban renewal projects as well as the huge investment in health and education sectors was crucial to the achievement of the Okowa administration’s main objective of delivering prosperity to all Deltans.
He said, “What gladdens perceptive Deltans heart is the Governor’s resolve to complete all the projects he has started before the end of his first tenure in office”.
Paying glowing tributes to the Governor, Tidi added, “Let me emphasize that the commissioning of the 1.7kilometers Ejinyere/Orodje Streets in Orerokpe, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, among other road projects, as well as the creation of 17,173 jobs in a year, is a practical meaning of democracy through service delivery to the people of Delta State, thus the Governor should be supported and encouraged so that he can take the state to enviable heights.”
