CHAIRMEN OF GBARAMATU COMMUNITIES COMMEND FG FOR TAKE OFF OF MARITIME VERSITY, OKERENKOKO
The Chairmen of Gbararmatu Communities in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Wednesday commended the Federal Government for approving the immediate take off the Nigerian Maritime University Okerenkoko.
Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Tuesday disclosed that the Federal Government has released #2 billion for the take off of the University.
The Vice President who disclosed this while declaring open the 2nd National Council on Niger Delta in Akure, Ondo State, said the University will take off by October.
Reacting to the cheering news in press statement issued in Warri on Wednesday by the Chairman of Kokodiagbene Community, Comrade Sheriff Mulade on behalf of the Chairmen of Gbararmatu Communities, they hailed the Government for giving final nod for the take off the University.
” We want to commend President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the immediate take off of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko in Gbararmatu Kingdom Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. We equally want to sincerely thank the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for his doggness and unflinching support to find a lasting solutions to the Niger Delta issues”, the Chairmen said.
They assured all intending students and general public of adequate security and a conducive learning environment.
