Nogo Visits Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, fetes DEMA members

The Director General of a leading APC Support Group, Delta Emancipation Movement for Agege (DEMA ’23), Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo led a delegation of members of the group to visit the Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege in his Effurun GRA residence pledging that the group would intensify campaign towards moving Omo-Agege to become Governor of Delta State
.
Chief Efe-Nogo disclosed that the visit was one of the steps by the group to rev up it’s activities with strategic engagements with top notch members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and presentation of cash in addition with campaign materials that would help mobilize men and materials for the success of the APC at the forthcoming general elections, he then presented some cash and campaign apurtenances to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege Deputy President of the Senate.
Also Speaking during the visit, Mr. Foster Akpore, Coordinator of Delta Emancipation Movement for Agege (DEMA) reeled out some achievements of the group under the able leadership and financial support of Chief Efe -Nogo, Oruese 1 of Orogun Kingdom and other financiers, adding, “DEMA is a support group and think-tank founded over a year ago to provide specialized support to the APC Campaign Council but was formally inaugurated by the Coordinator of the Delta Central APC Campaign Council, Sir, Chief Christopher Obiuwevbi some times last year in Effurun.”
According to Mr. Akpore, “so far, DEMA has mobilized and still mobilizing across the 25 Local Government Areas in Delta State, and has produced series of flyers in promoting Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s gubernatorial ambition, we have mobilized persons across the State beginning from when Senator Omo-Agege formally declared his intention to contest for the governorship. Our Director General, Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo even flew in from Illinois, USA on short notice to witness the epoch making event.”
He added, “DEMA’s presence is hugely felt in almost all the campaigns, marches and town hall meetings organized by the party. We have printed and distributed over 1,000 premium stickers 1,000 High Definition A2 posters, banners, T-shirts, gone and still going to the streets to convince Deltans to key into the EDGE to BAND agenda of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi”
Mr. Akpore spoke further, “our radio jingles are running in Warri, Ughelli and Asaba. So far, we have produced over twenty comedy skits and street trivias to promote the EDGE to BAND agenda. Our flagship website www.wetinunawant.com is what we are using to promote and get the views of Deltans on what the incoming administration of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege should do for them in line with the EDGE to Build a New Delta Manifesto and so far, the response has been amazing and in the next few weeks we are going to publish the report of our findings”.
Receiving the items, Senator Omo-Agege who was visibly elated expressed his appreciation to Chief Efe-Nogo for what the group has been doing, adding, “I am grateful for your wonderful support. I have been hearing so much about what your group is doing. Ordinarily, I am not the receiving type of person, I am used to giving out, but the level of support I have been receiving this period is amazing. The other time, it was Chief Esombi who slipped a piece of paper in my hand and when I looked at it, it was a cheque, not failing to mention the President General of Orogun Kingdom, Chief Benson Ndakara for his tremendous support too”.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by Elder Omeni Sobotie, chairman, APC Delta State, Chief Joseph Orogun, JP, Chief Edeki Akporugo, Mr. Lawrence Ugbemudia.
In another development, Chief Efe-Nogo hosted
members of DEMA as a way of appreciating them for making him proud. In his words “I want to thank you for making me proud while I was away. Your commitment towards actualizing the set objectives of DEMA which is to ensure that the task of emancipating Delta State from the shackles of underdevelopment through the EDGE to BAND agenda of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is realized. Let’s also ensure that we sensitize Deltans to vote APC all the way in the coming election”
High point of the reception was the presentation of awards to Chief Benson Ndakara, President General, Origin Kingdom for his financial to DEMA. Other members of DEMA who were given award include Mr. Foster Akpore, Mr. Praise Edoja, Mr. Goodluck Emenike and Mr. Sylvester Nkwo.
