Kogi elders raise alarm over fake soldiers
By Fidel Njamanze
With defeat starring the face of Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate on Thursday vowed to return the state to APC.
‘’This morning, the Yahaya Bello game plan began to unfold. The APC governorship candidate in concert with a top military officer perfected the rigging plan of the ruling party by deploying fake soldiers to strategic areas in the state in view of rigging the governorship election’’ a statement by Kogi Elders Forum said.
The statement signed by Alhaji Kabiru Suleiman accused the ruling party of hijacking the process.
The statement also accused the ruling party of using fake security agents to frustrate the electorate.
Suleiman complained of intimidation and other acts of coercion exerted on voters by the fake security officials.
The representative of Kogi Elders Forum urged the Chief of Army Staff to nip it in the bud.
He appealed to him to call his men to order in Kogi State.
He also alerted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), local and foreign observers of the presence of fake soldiers in the state.
