Delta@30 presents opportunity for us to reflect on how far we have come – Tidi
Chairman of Warri South council area, Dr Michael Tidi, has said that the celebration the 30th anniversary of the creation of Delta State had presented Deltans an opportunity to reflect on how far they have come as a people.
Tidi, who was a member of the Anniversary Planning Committee with Dr. Kingsley Emu as the Chairman, said it was a great privilege to serve the state in that capacity, stressing that the experience was worthwhile.
The Warri South Council Boss, in a congratulatory message by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Francis Sadhere, noted that the celebration of Delta at 30 also afforded Deltans the opportunity to celebrate and thank God for yet another year of statehood.
He said, “The month of August every year on which we commemorate the creation of Delta State from the defunct Bendel state presents us with an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come as a people.
“It also affords us the opportunity to celebrate and thank God for yet another year of statehood.
“Yours sincerely had the privilege to serve as Member of the Anniversary Planning Committee with Dr. Kingsley Emu as the Chairman,” Tidi said.
“On the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of Delta State, I have a great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulation and best wishes to Your Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, and the good people of Delta, wishing all of us a fruitful and memorable event.
