Chairman, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Micheal Tidi and the Deputy Police Officer, B’ Division CSP Aniete Eyoh have assured investors in Warri of a safety environment to do business.
The duo made this pledge in Warri when Hon. Tidi went on an inspection tour of the construction site of Brown-Hill Events Centre, Ogunu in Warri, being erected by President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick in the metropolis.
Hon. Tidi who expressed delight with the multimillion naira project, commended the investor for his contributions toward the redevelopment of Warri.
He said that his administration was doing everything possibly to improve the environment and make it a haven for investors.
Tidi appealed to those who have left the metropolis, including companies to return, adding that his administration’s target is to return Warri to its days of glory.
On his part CSP Eyoh said that the police will do everything possible to ensure that businesses are protected in Warri.
The police boss said that they will do everything possible within their powers to ensure criminal elements are flushed out of the city of Warri and its environs in order to make it more business conducive for investors and the people.
“We must protect our investors and to achieve this, we must create a peaceful environment for doing business, Eyoh said.
Meanwhile, the NFF President who was accompanied in the inspection tour by Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi, has called on oil and gas companies who had deserted Warri to return.
He assured that the Warri atmosphere is now peaceful and conducive for business to thrive.
Speaking on the expanded structural edifice of the world-class event centre, with a projected capacity of between 1,600 to 2,000 persons, Mr. Pinnick said that the project will be one of the biggest event centres in Nigeria when completed in four months’ time.
He however said that Warri South, under Hon. Tidi’ leadership would regain its lost glory, saying as “a very young, progressive and visionary Chairman”, with Tidi’s kind of leadership, investors need to come to Warri to do business and pay taxes, because according to him, “that is the way this town (Warri) can improve.”
