Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has expressed excitement over the appointment of Chief Edward Ekpoko, as Special Adviser to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Chief Edward Ekpoko, who is chairman of the respected Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILOT, is among nine distinguished Deltans, appointed Friday July 9 as Special Advisers to Governor Okowa.

The appointment was disclosed in a statement signed by Secretary to Delta State Government, Mr. Patrick Ukah.

The statement added that the new Special Advisers will be inaugurated at a date yet to be announced.

Dr. Tidi, in a statement released this evening, Friday July 9, thanked Governor Okowa for appointing Chief Ekpoko, expressing optimism that the ILOT Chairman and renowned legal practitioner, would bring his vast experience to bear in the renewed determination by Dr. Okowa to fast – track efficient governance and upscale development across the state.

The Warri South Local Government Chief Executive, assured of his administration’s resolve to continually drive the state government’s policies and programmes to the grassroots, in collaboration with lawmakers and appointees from Warri South Local Government Area.
