DELTA LG POLLS: AGANBI DRUMS SUPPORT FOR OMOLUBI

AHEAD of the October 25th, 2014 local polls in Delta State, a former aspirant for the Chairmanship position of Warri North local government area, Andrew Aganbi, has urged all other aspirants from the council area to abide by the last selection process by the leader of the party and rally round Comrade Omolubi Newuwumi in order to move the council forward.

The selection cum election process organized by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government area led by Hon. Michael Diden, last year had produced Comrade Omolubi Newuwumi, who emerged winner in the election process as the PDP candidate for the local government chairmanship and Andrew Aganbi was one of the contestants then.

At a consultative meeting between the two groups, Aganbi, said he has since abide by the selection and election process held earlier by the leadership of the party in the local government, where Comrade Omolubi, emerged as a winner and harped on the need for everybody to support him.

According to Aganbi; “There was a committee that was formed by the leadership of the party in Warri North, we were about three then and Omolubi came first in that election and as a student of political discipline, I give kudos to whom it is due, so I expect all other aspirants to support him. I also pray the leaders of the party to give Omolubi the tickets for he deserves it.”

Aganbi also urged all his supporters to work towards the successful emergence of Comrade Omolubi as the local government chairman comes October, saying that his experience will usher in the much needed development in the locality.

In his response, Comrade Omolubi expressed gratitude to Chief Aganbi for being such a gentleman, noting that the meeting was part of the consultations with stakeholders in the local government as the election approaches.

He equally called on other aspirants to abide by the decision and selection process which he said was very transparent, noting that it was high time people in the local government united in order to bring development closer to the people.
