NIGERIA @ 66th: Cleric Calls On Nigerians To Remain United, Embrace Peaceful Co-existence

As the nation marks her Sixty-sixth Independence Anniversary, Nigerians have been called upon to remain united, embrace peaceful co-existence as well walk in love with a view to move the nation to greater heights.
This call was made by Rev. Joseph Phikpabore Oyibo, General Overseer, City of Faith Bible Living Church Inc.in Udu, near Warri in an interactive session with journalists, he said that “as Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our pray onto the Father on behalf of His disciples in John 17:21 wherein He emphasized the power of unity, oneness, love and peace.”
The Niger Delta pastor called on Nigerians to be united, walk in love, peace, harmony and be prayerful.
According to Rev. Oyibo, “as we celebrate our great nation, Nigeria at Sixty-sixth years, we should embrace peaceful co-existence, dedicate the celebration to God Almighty and let’s us all work in synergy towards the building of o great nation that we all can be proud of.”
He called on religious leaders to always pray for the growth and advancement of the nation, adding, “let’s remember to also pray for and commit our political leaders for God’s direction. Let us specially pray for the current administration President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because God admonished us to do so to move Nigeria to the next level.
“Let’s work together, put all hands on deck to build a better nation for generations yet unborn. It is also advisable to build on most of the legacies of our heroes past that laid the foundation of modern Nigeria.
“Let us not focus on the weaknesses of our diversity rather let’s use it to our collective advantage for the overall benefit of Nigerians. We should support the government in power to do more for the people and I pray God to grant unto them wisdom to give the Nigerian nation good and purposeful leadership that we truly deserve.
He unveiled plans for the forthcoming Peace Summit in the Niger Delta Region, adding that this would promote love, peace, unity, harmonious living that ultimately lead to overall development of the region.
