A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Roland Emudianughe*, has eulogized *Rt. Hon. Ben Igbakpa Rollands*, describing him as a “political enigma” whose legacy remains unmatched in Ethiope land.
Engr. Emudianughe, who is the Vice Chairman of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum, EFCF Ethiope West chapter, made the assertion while speaking to journalists shortly after the grand jubilee celebration of Rt. Hon. Ben Igbakpa Rollands held at the Oghara Township Stadium in Ethiope West Local Government Area.
He noted that the mammoth crowd and array of dignitaries that graced the occasion were a testament to the unique political niche Rt. Hon. Rollands has carved for himself over the years, as well as his widespread acceptability across Ethiope and Delta state.
Tracing the political trajectory of the celebrant, Engr. Emudianughe recalled Rt. Hon. Rollands’ distinguished service as a *Member of the Delta State House of Assembly*, his impactful tenure as *Honourable Commissioner in the Delta State Ministry of Transport*, and his eventual election as *Member representing Ethiope East and Ethiope West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives*.
”In all these capacities, his achievements remain unequalled till date. Rt. Hon. Ben Igbakpa Rollands has carved a political niche for himself that cannot be equalled,” Emudianughe stated.
The EFCF Vice Chairman further lauded the Delta State Governor, *Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori*, for his developmental strides and for collaborating with *Rt. Hon. Ben Igbakpa Rollands* to drive peace and progress in Ethiope land.
He singled out the urgent intervention on the collapsed portion of the Benin-Sapele Expressway at Mosogar — an area he said was fast becoming a death trap — crediting Rt. Hon. Rollands for facilitating the swift remedial works.
He further charged all persons in positions of authority to prioritize the welfare of the people and use their offices to improve lives, rather than relegating the people to the background.
He stressed the needed to be a servant of the people rather than being a self serving leader.
The event drew political leaders, traditional rulers, party faithful, and well-wishers from across Delta State and beyond to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the revered APC leader and former lawmaker.
