Oghara Elite Forum Sues For A Healthy Co-Existence In Oghara
Oghara Elite Forum (OEF) considers the delineation cum the creation of Ethiope West Federal constituency 2 a timely blessing and a God given privilege to the good people of Oghara kingdom. OEF on behalf of Oghara kingdom is unequivocal in expressing our appreciation to INEC and the Federal Government of Nigeria for this political gesture.
OEF also considers it very necessary to express its positions to give some words of caution in the midst of the celebration to our sons and daughters as they start making efforts to throw their political gauntlets into the political arena for the reverend seat in the State House of Assembly. We therefore wish to convey the following.
Oghara Kingdom is One: A Common Interest of Peace Advocated: Oghara Kingdom is one; even though we are made up of two sub clans namely Oghareki and Ogharefe. Over the years, there have been expressions of dissatisfactions and supposed marginalization. OEF is hereby advocating that Oghara should bury the past hatchets whatever they may be and stand and operate as one family that we are.
UNITED WE SHALL STAND; BUT DIVIDED WE CANNOT PROGRESS MEANINGFULLY
Choice of a Political Candidate-Healthy Competition advocated: OEF advocates that we are one big family. At such our position is that our sons and daughters be given a healthy and level playgrounds to exercise their political wills and interests. There should not be any form of political gaging, mudslinging, acrimony and any such thing as our sons and daughters dance to the center of the political arena of Ethiope West federal Constituency 2.
FAIRPLAY AND RESPECT BREED UNITY, BUT PARTILITY AND POWERPLAY BREED ACRIMONY
Capable Hands and not Mediocre Advocated: There is nothing as retrogressive and anti-progressive as putting and trying to force a square peg in a round hole. OEF advocates for the best people and result oriented hand to break this virgin land of Delta State Legislative representation for our new Constituency. If we can get it right from the world go; we are hopeful that we shall continue in that trajectory of qualitative representation in the future.
IT IS NOT GOOD FOR JACKALS TO RUN THE WOLF’S PACK
For Peoples’ Interests and not for Personal Interests: Our society and community have suffered enough at the hands of selfish political physicians who are only for themselves and their gains for many years now. We need a selfless political physicians to heal the chronic socials ills bedeviling Oghara. OEF hereby advocates in the strongest term that any of our sons and daughters coming out to represent us should be prepared for the expected service to our people. While we wish you all the best, you should know that we consider you a hypocrite if you have a different mindset.
THE GAINS OF OPPRESSION SHALL NOT BE FOREVER: FEAR GOD
An Appeal to our Traditional Rulers and Political God Fathers: OEF also recognizes the immense contribution and roles of our traditional rulers and political godfathers in ensuring and cementing cohesion within our ethnic polity. OEF however advocates at this juncture that our leaders should be fair, just, and positive; handling matters with great objectivities; not minding whose ox is gored. Our potential candidates should be endorsed and encouraged on the principles of fair play. visible justice and glaring antecedents of the contestants. Sentiments and Nepotism cannot help but only strangulate this nascent political dispensation
OUR ADVERSARIES AND CHILDREN ARE WATHING
Conclusion: Oghara is one kingdom and OEF hereby advocates for fair play, justice and harmony as we savor this present political dispensation of Ethiope West federal Constituency 2.
