Delta State House of Assembly Hopeful to represent Warri South Constituency 1 in the 2015 general election, Hon Vincent Uduaghan has said that the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Okerenkoko/Kurutei in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has marked the beginning of a new page in the development.

Speaking to newsmen recently, Hon Uduaghan stated that the Nigeria Maritime University flag-off and ground breaking for the maritime shipyard/dockyard at Okerenkoko by Mr President will uplift the fortunes of the areas.

He said; “the President’s visit to the creaks marks the beginning of a new page in the development of the areas because it would give the people of the riverine areas, Delta State and vast majority of Nigerians the opportunity to be trained in the maritime institution. Similar corporation and assistance should also be extended to the gas plant project at Ogidigben, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and President Jonatahan should be given full-corporation for the completion of Gas Project. We are very ready to receive President Jonathan at Ogidigben any time and also in subsequent time as the creek is a peaceful area and the people live happily with love for one another. Mr President is always welcome to the creeks any day any time”.

He further highlighted that the Nigeria Maritime University will provide the people of the area the most needed encouragement and incentive to invest academically that hitherto uninterested youths in education will be encouraged to have a rethink and invest meaningfully on their future.

The Delta State House of Assembly Hopeful while stating that the Nigeria Maritime University would throw open the doors of employment to the jobless graduates who roam the streets, thus wiping out crime prevalent in the Nigerian society, however enjoined the people of the areas to seize this opportunity of transformation and make the best use of the maritime university at their doorstep.

He appealed that a similar corporation and assistance should also be extended to the completion of the gas plant project at Ogidigben, adding that Governor Uduaghan and President Jonatahan should be given full-corporation for the completion of the Gas plant Project. “We are very ready to receive President Jonathan at Ogidigben any time”.
