By Francis Sadhere, Warri

The Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 has concluded plans to inaugurate its 25 Local Government Area (LGA) coordinators as part of activities to officially launch a statewide grassroots mobilisation campaign in support of the re-election of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

The group disclosed this in a press statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Josiah Ntekume, and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the inauguration, themed “Ukodo Beyond 2027,” will also serve as the official flag-off of the group’s mobilisation activities across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Ntekume said the initiative was aimed at rallying support for Governor Oborevwori’s re-election while promoting the continuation of the administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda.

He explained that the event would provide an opportunity to unveil the group’s vision, mission and organisational structure, strengthen unity among members and stakeholders, and coordinate grassroots mobilisation efforts across Delta State.

“We shall present the vision, mission and organisational structure of the group, officially flag off the statewide grassroots mobilisation activities, strengthen unity and coordination among members and stakeholders, and mobilise support for the continuation of the M.O.R.E. Agenda and the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027,” Ntekume stated.

He noted that the inauguration of the 25 LGA coordinators would mark the formal commencement of the group’s statewide operations, adding that the exercise would enhance visibility, improve coordination and deepen grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the event is expected to attract members of the National Executive Committee, patrons, the Advisory Council, state and local government coordinators, women and youth leaders, ward representatives, political stakeholders, party leaders and other invited guests.
