Family, Friends, Relations, Clergy, Others Defies Wednesday Rains In Effurun To Attend Service Of Songs Of Orovwuje

Ogheneruona Tejiri, Effurun

Hundreds of family members, friends, political associates, relations, top clergy men, members of Garden of Life Assembly and others defy the Wednesday afternoon heavy rains to attend the Service Of Songs of Archbishop Philip Omonigho Orovwuje.

The Service Of Songs that saw the Church auditorium over flowing outside with people and dignitaries from across the country and beyond presented special rendition by local air choir led by Tisio Tisio and special presentation by the Choir of Garden of Life Assembly.

In his exhortation, Archbishop Eddy Bebor referenced Ecclesiastes Chapter 3: 1 & 2 with an unpopular topic, Death which he said is real.

Archbishop Bebor said, “death is real. Whether you like or believe it, death must come calling one day. No matter how highly placed a person is, death will surely strike one day. In spite of the anointing on Archbishop Benson Idahosa of Church of God Mission, he breathed his last. Death went into Aso Rock sometimes back to take the much dreaded Gen. Sanni Abacha who was then Nigeria Head of State.

“Death does not respect anybody, it comes when it will come, you can’t stop it. Only God grants and gives longevity. You can’t escape it, it’s like we are all in a moving big bus, when it’s your turn, you disembark from the bus and it moves on for others to get to their destinations and die or disembark. If money can buy death, Chief Moshood K. Abiola, a multi millionaire wouldn’t have died. It is real.”

Archbishop Bebor said that when death strikes, it leaves on its trail emotional and physical pains on those left behind to mourn the dead, adding, ” death of a loved one is very painful, you must break down emotionally. The Bible described death as an enemy but it is appointed unto man to die, it must come.”

He said that death is dreaded by everyone, even Christians who believes that heaven is far better than earth but are afraid to die to enjoy heavenly bliss, adding that Jesus Christ also, when faced with the reality of death, besiege, His father, God, that if it is His will, let the cup of death pass over Him(Jesus).

Archbishop Bebor then charged the congregation to be humble and live impactful lives to be remembered by loved ones

Prayers were then offered for the family of Late Archbishop Orovwuje.
