Deltans as well as Nigerians are becoming more aware of the reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, following extensive stakeholders’ engagement across the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State.
This was disclosed by Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, Delta State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) while briefing Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, South-South Coordinator, Renewed Hope Ambassadors and immediate past Governor of Delta State in Asaba.
Rt. Hon. Funkekeme said that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has carried out massive sensitization and mobilization across the state, engaging party members and critical stakeholders at the grassroots.
The meeting had in attendance the three Senatorial District Coordinators: Chief Patrick Ukah- Delta North, Chief Lucky Akarogbe- Delta South and Chief Steve Sokoh- Delta Central, as well as all the 25 Local Government Areas (LGA’s) Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
He said that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors remains very close to the Governor’s heart and is enjoying full support from the state government.
According to Rt. Hon. Oborevwori, “our engagements with stakeholders in the 25 Local Government Areas have been massive. We have met with organized groups including National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Nigeria Union Of Teachers(NUT), Nigeria Bar Association(NBA), Nigeria Medical Association(NMA), student bodies in higher institutions, support groups, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and other critical stakeholders”.
He said that the message of the Ambassadors has been clear – that Mr. President is doing well for all Nigerians, adding, “the purpose of engaging the people is to inform, communicate and educate them on the reforms of PBAT and Governor Oborevwori to the grassroots”.
Rt. Hon. Funkekeme noted that the group has gone ahead to equip coordinators with the knowledge required to engage and convince people at the grassroots in order to assist and strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win landslide in 2027.
The meeting later went into a closed-door session where each Local Government Area Coordinator was expected to brief the house on how they are going with the dissemination of the reforms in their various areas.
