Artisans in Delta Support Jonathan for March 28 Polls

National President of the National Automobile Technical Association (NATA), Chief Michael Ajayi Omonaiyin, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan for creating an enabling environment for NATA members in the nation, just as he pledged the association’s readiness to mobilize all members to vote for Jonathan and all PDP candidates in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.

Omonaiyin made his submission when he inaugurated the new executive members of the Delta State Chapter at the Delta Event and Convention Centre in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

He said the association which has formidable members across the nation, had benefited immensely from Jonathan’s government as it had created avenue for the training and retraining of their members and getting acquainted with modern technology in the automobile repair.
While saying that the association would render quality service to their clients across the nation, Omonaiyin also said the association would play its roles in the nation as technicians saddled with the responsibility of rendering essential service to Nigerians in time of need.
Delta State Chairman of NATA, Mr. Ifeanyi Abanum, said the association comprised mechanics, panel beaters, allied workers, tailors, hair dressers, and other artisans, and they are made up of vibrant and functional as well as registered members in the 25 local government areas of the state.
He said the association has utilized the various training skills given to its members by the Nigerian government to ensure that all the members are updated with the technicalities of repairing modern vehicles and making them road worthy.

The chairman noted that the association would endeavour to contribute its quota to the development of Nigeria by helping to train young and enterprising Nigerians who are interested in technical works free so as to ensure the youths are relevant and independent
