Speaking on behalf of the people of Ewu ward 1, Honourable Thomas Awajowe said that they decided to pay Olorogun Emerhor the courtesy call because they believe that he has the interest of the Urhobo people at heart, noting that he had contributed to the upliftment of the Urhobo nation several ways.

The people who were former supporters of the late Senator Pius Ewherido promised to work for Olorogun Emerhor the way they had worked for the late senator, assuring him that they will deliver their ward for him.

They advised Olorogun Emerhor not to forget his people when he finally get to the senate, adding that most of them decided to pay him the courtesy call because they want to see his face and know him as the man they will be working for.

Another speaker Mr. Austin Okhwofa advised Olorogun Emerhor to stand fast on the structure he has started, stressing that the people of Ughelli are solidly behind him and are ready to work for him.

Responding Olorogun Emerhor, who is in the Senatorial race under the platform of APC, said he was happy with the visit because he knew that Ewu and Ewhreni are special places that cannot be overlooked when it comes to politics.

Olorogun Emerhor urged the people to go back home and spread the good news to all their people that their son is going to the senate, promising that if he gets to the senate he will never forget them.

He said; “I am very happy for this visit. I know that Ewu and Ewhreni are very special places. During the last election, it was Ughelli North and South that won the election for the late Senator Ewherido. I know Ewu and Ewhreni are special and I must compensate them. I am going to work with your leaders and you will also be part of our think-tank team.”
