2027: Mulade Sheriff Declares Interest in Warri Federal Seat, Promises Inclusive Development

By Francis Sadhere, Warri
A Delta State-born development advocate and environmental rights activist, Mulade Sheriff, has declared his intention to contest the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general election, pledging to deliver sustainable development and people-focused representation if elected.
Mulade, who holds the traditional title of Ibe-Serimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, made the declaration in a press statement on Tuesday, where he appealed to constituents to support his aspiration to serve at the National Assembly in Abuja.
He said his ambition is driven by a desire to provide purposeful leadership anchored on unity, inclusiveness, and economic empowerment. According to him, his proposed representation would prioritise job creation, skills acquisition, and improved access to opportunities for people across the constituency.
“I am appealing to the electorates in Warri Federal Constituency to make a wise choice in the 2027 general election by voting for me. I am committed to delivering people-oriented and all-inclusive representation,” he said.
The activist, who is also a United Nations Peace Ambassador, stressed the need for issue-based campaigns ahead of the elections, urging political actors to avoid divisive rhetoric and character attacks.
He noted that elections should not fracture communities, emphasising that the people would continue to coexist long after the polls.
Mulade further highlighted his intention to focus on the welfare of vulnerable groups, including youths, women, and the elderly, whom he described as critical to societal stability but often neglected in governance.
He assured that, if elected, his legislative agenda would prioritise policies and programmes aimed at empowering these groups and improving their standard of living.
The declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves for the Warri Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
