Edo Governorship Election: Oshiomhole Dismisses Allegations of APC Vote Buying

Estako, Edo State — Senator Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, has firmly rejected allegations that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is stockpiling money to buy votes in the ongoing gubernatorial election.

After casting his vote at Iyamho, Ward 10 Unit 01 in Estako West on September 21, Oshiomhole described the claims as “laughable,” asserting that the APC is not engaged in any vote-buying activities.

“The idea that we are sharing money is simply untrue. People are voting for the APC because they desire good governance,” he stated.

Oshiomhole noted that the significant voter turnout for the APC is indicative of the electorate’s confidence in the party, driven by the achievements he made during his tenure as governor.

He emphasized that during campaign efforts, constituents were motivated to engage with him based on past performance, not financial incentives.

Oshiomhole’s remarks come amidst heightened scrutiny of electoral practices in the state, as the APC seeks to secure a victory in the crucial governorship race.
