Oghara People Admonished To Remain United, Stand For Justice

The people of Oghara Kingdom have been called upon to remain united, stand for justice with a view to move the place to greater heights.

This call was made by Hon. Ben Rolland’s Igbakpa, immediate past Member representating Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during a welcome home party organized by Oghara Elite Forum (OEF),foremost socio-political group in Oghara Kingdom for him , he urged all Oghara sons and daughters to live in peace and learn to build trust among themselves.

Hon. Igbakpa, who is member of the Forum condemned any form of injustice that may undermined the progress and harmony in the kingdom, he said that in togetherness, renewed sense of unity and purpose, the Kingdom would be better off.

While expressing his appreciation to Oghara Elite Forum (OEF)for honouring him, he charged members to remain focused on the principles, aims and core objectives of the Forum which is but not limited to love, unity, friendship, fostering of peace and harmony among Oghara people rather than delving into political maneuvrings.

The immediate past Member representating Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives used the opportunity to restate the fact that Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former Governor of Delta State remains the foremost leader adding that his contest in the last election should not be misconstrued as struggling for leadership position in Oghara with Chief Ibori rather it was a testament to his(Igbakpa) pedigree and commitment to upholding the dignity of politics in Oghara Kingdom.

In his welcome speech, Chief Joseph Ogaga Ogunje, President General, Oghara Elite Forum (OEF) said that Hon. Igbakpa was honoured because of his great achievements in the four years he spent in the National Assembly adding that he has made Oghara people very proud in his performance.

According to Chief Ogunje, “we are honouring one of our worthy members and to appreciate him for a meritorious service as our representative in the National Assembly. You have made us proud by your boldness, elegant and astuteness in presentation of Bills and moving of motions at the National Assembly. You left your footprints in the sands of political history.”

Also speaking, Pastor Godwin Akpovie, Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director, Delta Special Economic Zone(Koko & Kwale) Free Zone commended the Forum for honouring one of our own, he described Hon. Igbakpa as a firebrand whose interest is working for the overall good of the people and advancing the Kingdom to higher level.

Various other speakers who spoke amongst whom was Rtn. Rolland Emudianughe commended the sterling qualities of Hon. Igbakpa and suggested that some notable projects be named after him.

A vote of confidence was also passed on Hon. Igbakpa.

Highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of Certificate of Outstanding Performance as A Super Legislator of the House of Representatives for Ethiope Federal Constituency and a 4 feet customized welcome home card to Hon. Igbakpa.
