Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has commiserated with the family of Kefee Obareki on the untimely demise of their daughter, describing her as a rare gem in the Black Race.

Governor Uduaghan in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sunny Ogefere described the death of Kefee as a great loss not only to the immediate family and the music industry but Delta State, the Nigerian nation and the black Race.

Dr. Uduaghan lamented that Kefee despite her rise to stardom at a young age still had more potentials locked up in her that would have brought more honours to the Black Race, Nigeria and her home State of Delta .

“Kefee took the music world by storm with her hit album Branama, which not only brought her into lime light but also conferred fame on the Urhobo Language.

“As a government we cannot forget in a hurry the life and spice that her music brought to our occasions that she was invited to perform.

“We will greatly miss Kefee’s warm, charm and brand of music that thrilled our people,” he said.

Governor Uduaghan urged the husband and the immediate family to take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life despite her untimely death.

He prayed God Almighty to grant her soul eternal rest.
