Francis Sadhere
The All Progressives Congress candidate for the Delta Central Senatorial bye election, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has said that APC will liberate the Urhobo people from the shackles of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, adding that it was high time the Urhobo nation had a strong voice in the nation’s polity.
Olorogun Emerhor said this at Ewu kingdom when his campaign team visited the place to solicit for their votes in the forth coming Delta Central Senatorial bye election.
The APC senatorial candidate, who is maternally from Ewu kingdom, urge the people to vote for their son, saying that the y should vote wisely in the forthcoming bye-election as this was their one opportunity to choose who will represent them well in the senate.
He said if voted into power he is going to bring the dividends of democracy to not only the people of Ewu kingdom, but the Urhobos as a whole.
Emerhor added that the era of PDP dominance was finally coming to an end, stressing that for the past fourteen years that PDP had being in power the Urhobo people had been relegated to the background with nothing to show for all the contribution they have been making to nation.
He said; “You all know that my mother is from this place and I schooled in this place. Our party, APC, has come to stay in Delta State. APC will produce the next governor of this state. APC will also produce a Minister from this state. PDP umbrella is a shattered umbrella and the people inside are beaten by the rain. I urge you to vote for your son when the time comes and I will bring the dividends of democracy to my people.”
Emerhor also urged the people of Ewu Kingdom to campaign from door to door so that people in the village could be enlightened on how to vote rightly when the election comes.
Also speaking at the occasion was Barrister Festus Keyamo who urged the people to vote enmass for APC, saying that the party was the party that was going to project Urhobo nation to the limelight in the polity of the country.
Barrister Keyamo contested the APC Primaries with Olorogun O’Tega Emerhor.
