EDO: OSULA ACCUSSES KABA OF ILLEGALLY EXTORTING MONEY FROM STREET TRADERS

One time oba- market freedom fighter, Comrade Jabi Osula has accused Comrade Tony Kaba of illegally extorting money from street traders in Benin City, the state capital.

The embattled freedom fighter, made this allegation known while speaking with the National reformer correspondent in the state capital to express his discontentment over the incessant and illegal extortion of persons alleged to be street-hawkers by Comrade Kabaka.

According to him, ‘’what happened is that Kabaka has been collecting the sum of One -Thousand Naira each everyday from the street trader and it is too much. Wetin e dey take m do?e dey too big. I tell m say who give m the power to come dey collect one-one-thousand? as we dey argue na DPO- oba-market come tell me make I go or him go arrest me.na I tell am say make him arrest me until Governor come say make dem live me. Before now, dem don first arrest 10-boy wey dem dey work for me.him and police plus one yemisi wey dem give contract make him install transformer for Oba-market don treating me make I remove my hand from the matter. How I go remove my hand wey dem dey suffer my people?na d reason wey make me come meet press people make dem help talk am’’

Comrade Osula further lamented the way and manner Kapuepue (Kabaka) boys has conducted themselves regarding the daily extortion of money from the poor street traders which he said is unacceptable; adding that, government should call him to order to ensures peace and freedom in the metropolis.
