Dignitaries Flood Katsina Atiku Care Inauguration As Late Yar’Adua, Others Receive Awards
Several dignitaries and political big wigs were on ground to witness the inauguration of executives of the Atiku Care Foundation, Katsina State, held at the Soli Center, Katsina at the weekend.
A statement signed by the foundation’s Director Media and Publicity, North West, Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made avaikable to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday informed that notable among those spotted were Alhaji Atiku Abubakar represented by his son, Alhaji Abba Atiku (Dan Iyan Jada), former Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, Hon, Kabir Ahmed Kofa, former People’s Democratic Party PDP, Chairman of the state, Mal. Kabir Mai Wada Daudawa, who represented his Kaduna State counterpart, Alhaji Yaro Makama Rigachikun and Haj. Habiba Yar’adua.
Others were Haj.Bilkisu Kaikai, Haj. Ramatu Audu (matron), Haj. Asiya Bindawa, as well as several former Katsina State House of Assembly members and former local government chairman.
Also in attendance, were the National Chairman Atiku Care Foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Ibn Abbas, his deputy, Mr. Joseph Orieke and Katsina ACF Chairman, Alhaji Ghali Yusuf, his vice, Alhaji Baka Majidadi.
The roll call included North West and North East ACF Zonal Coordinators, Lawal Zannah and Idris Ahmad respectively, Director Contact and Mobilization, Dr. Abdullahi Boda (Baraden Zamfara), Dr. Dimax Garba, Deputy National Women Leader, Hajia Maryam Khalid, North West Woman Leader, Haj. Fati Muhammad and North East Women Leader, Mrs. Fatima Jajere.
Thousands of Wazirin Adamawa supporters flooded the venue, which was characterized by music and dancing, refreshments and other forms of entertainment were not in short supply.
Meanwhile, awards were presented for ‘The founder of modern Nigeria’s democracy’, to the late General Shehu Musa Yar’adua, received by his sister, Hajya Habiba Yar’adua.
An award for ‘Detribalized Nigeria’s political icon’ was presented to His Excellency, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, received by Alh. Abba Atiku Abubakar.
Similarly, ‘The Standing Political Voice of Nigeria’ award was presented to former Governor of Kaduna State, Alh. Lawal Kaita, received by his grand daughter, Hajya Sa’adiyya Sada.
