A group under the aegis of Urhobo New Face Youth Association has donated branded note books to Olorogun Emerhor Campaign Organization as part of its support to the All Progressives Congress Delta Central Senatorial aspirant.

Martins Orire said plans had already been concluded to print over forty thousand note books for onward distribution to schools in Delta Central Senatorial district, adding that it was their own little way of supporting Olorogun Emerho’s senatorial ambition.
The group said they decided to contribute their own quota to boost his campaign because they believe that before Olorogun Emerhor joined the senatorial race he had been a very good philanthropist who had touched the lives of many sons and daughters of Urhobo land.
The added that they have also concluded plans to embark on a house to house campaign to support the candidacy of Olorogun Emerhor, stressing that they believe that when he gets to the top the Urhobo people are going to liberated from the present political marginalization.
They added that the youths in the districts were tired of riding okada and keke (motorcycle and tricycles) just to earn a living, emphasizing that what the youths needed now was good education and empowerment.
The group revealed that volunteers had been recruited to work with Olorogun Emerhor Campaign Organization, noting that their aim was to create awareness amongst the youths in the district to vote for Olorogun Emerhor in the forthcoming bye-election.
They added that the choice of donating the branded notebooks to the campaign organization was based on the belief that the note books will serve as a means of campaign for the organization, saying that when children come from school with the books, their parents will see the books and the name of Olorogun Emerhor will get to the grassroots.
Responding, the Director General, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor Campaign Organization, Chief Lucky Oteheri thanked the group for their contribution, promising that the campaign organization had welcomed them to the fold they and will work together to ensure that Olorogun Emerhor emerges the winner of the Delta Central Senatorial bye-election.
Chief Oteheri also emphasized that the oppression of the Urhobo nation in the past had united them together, noting that now the Urhobo people would not only be talking but they will act.
He said; “The oppression of the past has united the Urhobo people. We are going to let the whole world know that we cannot only talk but we also act. We are going to act with a bang. The Urhobos once again will be lifted up through the Senatorial bye-election.”
He added that it would take the effort of everybody to drive the new Urhobo project forward, saying Olorogun Emerhor will wipe out the tears caused by the death of late Senator Pius Ewherido, from the eyes of the Urhobos once he gets to the Senate.
On his part, Olorogun Emerhor who was overwhelmed with the contribution of the group thanked the group for using their personal resources to support his Campaign, promising that their efforts will not go unnoticed.
