Sota advocates for free fair elections

The Labour Party’s Federal House of Representative candidate aspirant for Ethiope Constituency and former Special Adviser to Governor Uduaghan on Maritime Affairs, Captain Victor Sota has called for a level playing ground in the March 28 and April 11 general elections, saying he is sure of victory if the elections will be fair.
Captain Sota who made this call recently while speaking with newsmen blamed the underdevelopment in the country on inexperienced and selfish politicians who vie for political offices for their personal gains to the detriment of the general populace promising that if elected into office, he will distinguish himself as he is committed to fulfilling every promise he made during his campaign.
“This country ought to be more developed today; given the resources in terms of human and natural resources. I believe one of the problems is putting square pegs in round holes.
“Most of the time we don’t have the right people representing us. It is sad that politicians have given a bad name to politics,” he said.
While urging the electorates to come out en masse to cast their votes and defend their votes by monitoring the counting exercise at the polling unit, Sota reiterated the need for a peaceful, free and fair election assuring that he will do better than given his experience and expertise.
He also promised to attract developmental projects to his constituency and draft new laws that will be beneficial to the states and local governments in terms of waterways saying that the interest of his people comes first.
