The Delta State Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Obinna Nkemjika, Tuesday, called on the newly inaugurated government in Nigeria to put God first in piloting the affairs of the nation just as he enjoined the governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to fight corruption and clean up the polity.

Pastor Williams Kumuyi, General Superintendent, Deeper Life Bible Church.

Besides, Pastor Nkemjika also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfill promises made during his electioneering campaigns and reduce economic waste so that available resources should be geared towards meeting the needs of Nigerians.

Nkemjika made the call when speaking to journalists on the special crusade to be held by the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, in Asaba, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

Pastor Nkemjika said when leaders put God first in their programmes, it brings God’s presence and blessings into the administration of government.

On the crusade of Pastor Kumuyi, he said the crusade which was initially fixed for March 24 was postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances that rose up at the time, hence the crusade was postponed to June 9, next week Tuesday.

He said Kumuyi would visit eight cities in the state which include Asaba, Agbor, Ogwashi Uku, Kwale, Ughelli, Bomadi, Sapele and Abraka.

According to him, the crusade would touch the spiritual, economic and the circular life of Deltans, saying the power of God would touch lives as diverse miracles would be received by participants.

He said Pastor Kumuyi has been consistent in his ministry for the past 40 years, adding that his ministry has brought happiness and joy to many homes as issues affecting families have been reversed by the power of God.

Answering a question on the impact of Christianity in Nigeria, he said Christianity has contributed to reducing crime and evil in Nigeria, saying crime is a direct consequence of poverty and unemployment in a country.

He called on Deltans to avail themselves of the opportunity and attend the crusade which would hold at the Cenotaph in Asaba as God has much in store for all.
