Olu Of Warri Charges INYC Not to Allow Politicians Use Them For Selfish Purposes
…As He Inaugurates 12-Man INYC Executive

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli has charged the newly inuagurated Itsekiri apex body, the Itsekiri National Youth Coumcil, INYC, not to allow themselves to be used by any political party or individual for selfish purposes.
The Warri monarch also warned the INYC to ensure that they do not engage in any unwholesome acts capable of dragging their name into disrepute.
Ogiame Ikenwoli who made these remarks recently at his palace during the inauguration of a 12-man executive with Mr. Esimaje Awani as President, told them to work for the general good of the Itsekiri people at all time.
He charged them to co-opt the youth leaders of various Itsekiri towns and communities in the course of their two-years tenure that would terminate on June 29, 2018 for maximum efficiency and performance.
In a letter of authority dated July 28, 2016 and signed by the Olu of warri himself and copied to all relevant government authorities in the state and the presidency, including all arms of the security agencies in the country, the royal father stated that the “Council is saddled with the management of all affairs in Itsekiri land.
“They have my mandate, blessing and approval to carry out these responsibilities”, charging all concern to accord them the necessary support and co-operation”.
The newly inaugurated Esimaje –led executive is an amalgam of the previous two faction of the INYC in Itsekiri land during the reign of departed monarch of the kingdom, HM Ogiame Atuwatse 11 who also in a letter to whom it may concern stated clearly that the functions of the INYc to include “co-ordinating, promoting and advancing the cause of Itsekiri youths in Warri kingdom”.
Members of the new executive are Omasan Ogharandukun, 1st Vice president; Raymond Atsenuwa, 2nd vice-president; Tuoyo Ofuyaekpone, 3rd vice president and Humphrey Tuoyo as Secretary. Others include Weyimi Eyitemi, Treasurer, Stanley Emiko P.R.O and Tsaye Edeyibo as Financial secretary and four others respectively.
