Okorodudu Assumes Office as EDP DESOPADEC, pledges to provide equal opportunity Hostcoms

The newly-appointed Executive Director, Project (EDP) in Delta State Óil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun (Dr.) Ebenezer Okorodudu has officially assumed duties, yesterday, with an assurance to help in ensuring equal opportunities for oil producing communities.
He made this pledge when he was received by the Managing Director, Chief Festus 0chonoghor, the Executive Director, Social Services, Chief Favour Izuokumor and management staff at the Commission’s headquarters in Warri.
Dr. Okorodudu, who was sworn-in last week by the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed appreciation to the executive directors, management and staff for keeping the dreams of the founding fathers of DESOPADEC alive, saying “I was a commissioner when this concept of the establishment of DESOPADEC was initiated and it was signed by the then governor, Chief James Ibori and was implemented by former governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan.
“Since then, this commission has been a robust interventionist agency, promoting the well-being and interest of the oil-bearing communities.
“I am glad to be here; I am going to learn the ropes very quickly. I am a focused person who is going to deliver on any assignment. The interest of the Governor and government of Delta state must be fully protected.
The interest of the oil producing communities and the interest of the staff will be fully protected. Okorodudu urged especially those that were going to work directly under him, to be responsible, eschew all forms of dishonesty and be disciplined.
“I am a workaholic; I am here to make history and remarkal’ n progress. I am going to start from where my predecessors stopped, I don’t joke with workers’ welfare; I don’t expect you to be stagnated but every day, on a daily basis we will live a life of progress. I need your full cooperation as we deliver on our given assignment”, he said.

Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, an indigene of Okpara-Olomu in f Ughelli South local government area, was a Commissioner s, for Commerce and Industry and Commissioner for Local g Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Delta State at different n times during Governor James Ibori’s administration.
He was aÏso Chairman of the State’s Scholarship Board; d Special Project Director, upgrading 12 selected schools; Special Assistant to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, member, st Management Board of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi; g Zonal Organising Secretary, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State.
He was the Chief of Staffto the immediate past Speaker, Delta y y State House of Assembly and now Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. t Sheriff Oborevwori.
