Oil and gas communities urge Nigerians to pray for Buhari

Host Communities of Nigeria (HOSCON) producing oil and gas have urged Nigerians to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and the nation, even as they welcome the President back to the country.
The National Chairman, HOSCON, Bishop Dr. Mike Emuh, made this call on Sunday in a statement made available to our correspondent and signed by the National Director, Media and Publicity, HOSCON, Prince Monday Whiskey.
Bishop Emuh who spoke after an emergency National Executive Council meeting of HOSCON and the audience granted to the Association of the Niger Delta Bishop (ANDB) and the National HOSCON Consultant Forum said it is only through prayer and appreciation to God that our land and its leaders can have sustain peace and prosperity.
He said the Host Communities of Nigeria (HOSCON), believed strongly in the transformation agenda of the president Mohammadu Buhari administration, hence it went all out by declaring very successful three days fasting and prayer for president quick recovery.
Bishop Emuh told the three different meetings which has in attendance distinguished Nigerians and respected clergy men, that even in the physical absence of the president Mohammadu Buhari its committed vice president Professor Yemi Osinbanjo steered the ship of the nation very courageous and professionally, resulting in several people oriented policies statement that are today working for the peace process in the Niger Delta region.
“We are grateful that acting President Yemi Osinbanjo directed all international oil Companies (IOC) to urgently relocate their headquarters Niger Delta region where their operations are domicile.
“As Nigerians we need to pray for consistent peace in our land and also to pray for leaders knowing full well that leadership is from God,” Emuh said.
Responding on behalf of the association of Niger Delta Bishop, Delta State Chapter Chairman, Bishop Dr. Isaac Etidia JP assured the HOSCON Boss that the church will consistently pray for peace in the land and good health for the country leadership.
Etidia said, “The church owed the nation and its citizenry a duty and that duty is to fast and pray for sustainable peace, economic development, political stability and above all the peace of the Lord upon its chosen leaders at very particular time”
Also, the chairman HOSCON National Consultant Forum, Elder Emmanuel Ukusare said the forum believed in the president Buhari led administration and hence they are partnering with HOSCON body to contribute their quota to the transformation agenda of the president Buhari led administration.
Elder Ukusare said, “The HOSCON Consultant Forum which is made up notable technocrats in the field of Engineering, Agriculture, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) boast of some of the best hands in human resources management and environmental remediation experts. I urge the HOSCON national chairman to use wide contact to prevail on the federal government to urgently fast track development initiatives programmes that can sustain the current peace to enhance greater crude oil and gas exploration and exploitation in the Niger Delta region.
