He called on the authorities on the need to engage graduate of criminology in the security matters, says thousands of young men and women who read criminology and other courses related to security and conflict resolution are been denied opportunities to serve their fatherland.
According to Omolubi, “These young graduates who read criminology and other related courses should be allowed to join the Nigeria police and with more sophisticated training on intelligence gathering and information technology, the police will far better and face any security challenges that confront it.”
“There is also the need to move away from our analogue way of detecting and dealing with crime and security matters and embrace digital technology because it is a shame that many of our senior officers in the police force cannot operate computers. You will be surprise to go to a police station and see that there is no light, no single computer or even typewriter, in this modern age of technology,” he said.
