Navy arrests Oghulagha Community Leader

The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS Delta), yesterday arrested the Chairman of the oil rich Ogulagha community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Captain Solomon Prebor.
Captain Prebor, according to sources was apprehened when he reported at the Navy Base to honour an invitation by the security outfit.
“Captain Prebor was invited by the Navy personnel. He reported on Monday only to be detained for unknown reason” a community source said.
Sources revealed that Prebor was sized at about 6:00p.m last Monday from his community by the Naval personnel stationed close to the area and whisked him to NNS Delta barracks in Warri.
“He is in the custody at the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS DELTA), Warri Naval Base, Warri” the source said.
Oghulagha community had been on the radar of security agencies during the height of attacks on crude oil pipelines by militants.
Last June, five of their leaders were arrested by the Joint Task Force (JTF) code named Operation Delta Safe over the activities of dreaded Niger Delta Avengers (NDA).
Confirming the latest arrest, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ogulagha community, Henry Agegiga said the naval personnels invited Captain Prebor to the Naval Base in Warri to answer two questions.
“He was arrested around 6:00p.m by Navy people. We didn’t know what happened, but they said they wanted to ask him few questions. We know them, but we don’t know their names. They came from their camp at Ogulagha. Maybe someone wants to lie against him, ” Agegiga disclosed.
Commander of NNS Delta, Commodore Joseph Dwunze could not be reached for reason for the latest arrest as he was said to have travelled to Abuja for official assignment.
