IZEZE DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO FLOOD VICTIMS IN UGHELLI SOUTH CONSTITUENCY

In a bid to help cushion the negative impact of flood on displaced persons in Delta State, Hon. Reuben Izeze, member representing Ughelli South Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA)has donated food items, toiletries and detergent to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP)taking refuge at Ughievwen Primary School, Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Represented by his wife, Mrs Ogheneruona Izeze said that the gesture was aimed at ameliorating the plight of the victims of the devastating flood disaster in his constituency.

The visit of the member representing Ughelli South Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Izeze left an indelible mark in their hearts of the people as he donated bags of rice, beans, garri, detergent, cartons of Indomie, toiletries, tubers of yam and gallons of groundnut oil and palm oil among others to them.

Presenting the items, Mrs Izeze said they were touched by the plight of the victims, as they were sacked from their homes and their sources of livelihood destroyed.

Hon Izeze noted that the gesture was aimed at ameliorating their plight and put smiles on their faces.

He urged the victims of the flood disaster not to loose hope but put their trust in God and promised to continue to assist them.

Hon. Izeze restated his commitment towards the well-being of the people of his constituency and promised to liaise with the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and other relevant stakeholders to help them resettle when the flood recedes.

Mr Ejovi Adasen, an engineer told the beneficiaries that Hon. Izeze will personality visit the affected areas and those who could not access the camp, with a view to ameliorating their plight.

The beneficiaries who could not hide their joy burst into songs of joy and prayed for Hon. Izeze.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Hon. Izeze for the gesture, they promised to reciprocate by voting for him, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and other candidates of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP)come 2019 general elections.

They commended Hon Izeze for his qualitative and robust representation at the House as well as for attracting several development projects to the constituency especially the Oginibo road project.

Mrs Mercy Mrayebure, the Camp Commandant received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries.
