GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY FOR FIRST SPORTS UNIVERSITY IN SUB SAHARA AFRICA HOLDS APRIL 3

Official flag off of the first Sports University in Sub-Sahara Africa would take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at its permanent site in Idumuje-Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to a statement made available to National Reformeronline by the management of Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation, the ground breaking event will involve the foundation laying of blocks of classrooms, hostel accommodation, take off campus project for the proposed Stars University.
The statement added that the event which will be attended by Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State as the host will have Capt. Hosa Okunbo as the Special Guest of Honour and Chief Mike Nwaukoni, the Iyase of Ogwashi-Uku as the Guest of Honor.
It could be recalled that Prince Ned Nwoko, Founder, Stars University and a 2019 Senatorial hopeful for Delta Senatorial District stated that the university has officially obtained a provisional certification from the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC)to commence academic activities.
According to him, Stars University will be a wholly sports university, the first of its kind in sub Saharan Africa, which will help in the training of sports men and women for the African of Continent.
