:Dr. Victory Oghenerabome Odize, (PhD) Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Diaspora Affairs, has lauded Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori on his one-year anniversary in office.

Odize highlighted the Governor’s significant achievements, stating that Deltans are already experiencing the benefits of his leadership.

“In just a year, many are beginning to feel the impact of your giant strides in the state. As Comrade Reuben Izeze often says, the MORE Agenda is not just a slogan but a work plan delivering tangible, people-oriented projects,” Odize remarked.

He praised his swift action on critical issues, noting that within the first 100 days, the Governor addressed workers’ promotion arrears and approved the upgrade of 215 out of 441 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the state, with 25 already completed. Each PHC upgrade costs N30 million, representing a substantial investment in healthcare infrastructure. Additionally, the Governor approved N3 billion for the upgrade of 21 out of 64 general hospitals.

“No region in the state has been untouched by the MORE Agenda. Delta State has truly become a construction site,” Odize stated.

Highlighting other key projects, Odize mentioned the construction of a flyover in Warri to alleviate traffic congestion, a project awarded to Julius Berger.

He emphasized the Governor’s commitment to inclusive governance, pointing to numerous appointments of youths and women in various positions.

“I congratulate and celebrate His Excellency on his first year in office. The blueprint of his legacy is clear for all Deltans to see. His achievements are visible to the blind and audible to the deaf,” Odize said.

Odize encouraged all Deltans, both at home and abroad, to support the Governor’s MORE Agenda, which aims to create an enabling environment for investors.

He affirmed the administration’s readiness to partner with foreign investors and well-meaning sons and daughters of the state.

“Thank you, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, for all you have done in your first year. I pray that God gives you the grace, wisdom, and strength to do more in the years to come,” Odize concluded.
