A business man, one Agbarah Benawariebi, has cause to rejoice as the Enerhen Division of the Delta State Police Command, weekend, swooped on a three man robbery gang who dispossessed him of N450,000 he withdrew from his First Bank Account.
Delta Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, told journalists that the recovery was made possible following a tip off that armed robbers were robbing at Water Resources Area of Enerhen, a suburb of Warri, Delta State.
Kalu said the police surveillance team swiftly moved to the scene and on sighting the police, the hoodlums zoomed off, precipitating a hot chase by the police.
She said the hoodlums escaped into a swampy area, thereby abandoning their Golf 3 Volkswagen car with Registration Number AG 95 BKW (Delta).
When the said Golf car was searched, one locally made cut to size double barrel gun, ten live cartridges, one expended cartridge, one Tecno handset, six screw drivers and  the stolen N450,000 were recovered.
The victim revealed that on the same date, he withdrew the sum of N450,000.00 from First Bank along Airport junction branch, Enerhen, only for him to be robbed of the money by the hoodlums at the Water Resources area.
