SOCIO-CULTURAL GROUP THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND ESIEVO

Enyaharo of Emede Women, Warri Branch, a socio-cultural group in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State has thrown their weight behind Barr. (Mrs.) Orezi Esievo, who is vying for the position as a Member to represent Isoko South I in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking at the gathering, the Chairlady of Enyaharo of Emede Women, Warri branch, Mrs. Victoria Amagada urged her members to turn-out massively to cast their votes in order to ensure Esievo’s victory in the February 28 poll.

In her words, “Barr. Mrs. Orezi Esievo is the right person for the job because she has proven tested and trusted in all she has done.”

Also speaking, Barr. Mrs. Orezi Esievo, who was the former Commissioner for Special Duties while playing host to the women group in Warri, Delta State expressed her appreciation to God almighty for making it possible for her to clinch the ruling PDP’s ticket for the House of Assembly to represent Isoko South I Constituency, appeal to them (women) to canvass their support and vote her into DTHA in order to give them effective representation.

She used the opportunity to call on the good people of Isoko South I Constituency to vote massively for her and all PDP candidates including President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as Delta State Governor.

A better future for the people of Isoko South I Constituency was uppermost in her mind, she said, “hence, the desire to serve the people and promise to pursue agenda that would accelerate socio-political and economic development of her constituency.”

According to her, “Women are part of the bedrock of development in any country; promise to empower them if given the mandate. Emphasizing that she will ensure that her constituency gets what is rightly belong to them and her people will be her driving force if elected.”

With the wealth of experience in governance, she said “I will bring more sustainable development to better the lives of her people in the constituency and seek for their support in order to give them a better deal. It would not be business as usual.”
