EDO GUBER: DEPUTY GOV. LISTS PRIORITY OF SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE IF ELECTED

The menace of flood and erosion afflicts in several communities in Edo State will soon hit a snag giving by the lists of priority of services to the people reeled out by the incumbent Deputy governor of the state and a frontline Aspirant of All Progressive Congress, APC, in the forthcoming State gubernatorial election Dr. Pius Odubu as he pushes towards the mantle of leadership at the prestigious Denis Osadebe Avenue from his principal comrade Adams Oshiomhole

Speaking while addressing newsmen in his campaign office in Benin City to flag off his ambition to succeed his principal as the state governor come September 10, Odubu harped on the need to aggressively seek the assistance of the international developmental partners to curtail the devastating effects of erosion in our society.

Dr. Odubu maintained that his administration will ensure that they builds on the credible foundation laid by his principal as part of the continuity agenda of the party, stressing that he would prioritize job and wealth creation, education, agriculture, economy, infrastructure and the security of the people.

His words: “May I in special way welcome you to this event. For some time now the speculations that I will seek the nomination of the APC governorship candidate in September 10, 2016 election has come. Am here today, by the special grace of God, to formally announce to you that, I am seeking the party, APC ticket to represent it in the state governorship election. Consequently, if I am elected September 10, I shall recall the clarion call as a mandate to serve the people guided by my mission. Unemployment remains a major issue in Nigeria and experts pin this deficit on the unequal economic formal growth which is amplified by the mismatch between skills acquired in school and skills required in employment. A vibrant economy remains the panacea for the growth and development of the state. So we intend, if elected to expand to grow the state economy through public private partnership, invest in agriculture, infrastructure put an end to erosion plaguing the communities in the state and generates revenue internally.

Odubu however, pledged to empower women and recognized the critical role of our traditional institution in our cultural estimations

Hon. Samson Osagie who was the two- term representative in the lower chamber of the national assembly was the notably party steward present on the occasion of the flag-off ceremony as other party bigwigs was unexplainably absent.
