Anti-Amaechi Plots: Wike, Abe Take Battle to the Senate, Circulate ‘Cooked’ Document

…Recruit Senator Sekibo As Arrowhead Of Senate Assault

…. Eze commends Senate President Lawan, Others for shunning such a diabolical plot

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region of the country, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has uncovered plans to scandalise immediate past Minister of Transportation, Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, in the Senate by his sworn adversaries.

Laying out the details of the alleged plans to ambush Amaechi at the Senate, with the intention of making him look unworthy of reappointment as a Minister, Eze, said the planners, whom he alleged were the Rivers state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, and Senator Magnus Abe, had put together a 50-page document, filled with all manners of cooked-up stories, outright falsehood and lots of unsubstantiated allegations, meant to be circulated among Senators by the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Sekibo.

According to Eze, the whole target of the plot is to create a platform for those who had banded together as sworn enemies of Amaechi in the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and within the ruling APC, all led by Governor Wike and Senator Abe, to make Amaechi seem unworthy and create an avenue for Abe to be presented as the alternative Ministerial nominee from Rivers state.

Eze, however commended the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan, Senator Danjuma Goje, Senator Ali Ndume, Senator Ike Ekwerenmadu, and other senators who had so far rejected the plot and distanced themselves from it, describing them as friends of the country, who had identified Amaechi for the change agent that he is and recognising the plot for its diabolic and wicked nature.

The party chieftain noted with delight that the newest plot at the Senate became necessary for the plotters because an initial plot, the multi-billion naira anti-Amaechi media project had so far woefully failed, adding that the current plot at the Senate would also collapse like its precursor in the media.

“The duo, after failing woefully in their media war and propaganda, aimed through the media to impugn and destroy the image of Amaechi, to make him look unworthy of a reappointment as minister by President Muhammadu Buhari, had now resorted to the Senate.  All these efforts are to once again demonstrate their disdain for the revolution that Amaechi represents in the politics of Nigeria, but they will fail as they failed in 2015.

“The plot to decimate Amaechi is to pave way for the appointment of Senator Magnus Abe, whose efforts led to the APC not fielding any candidate during the 2019 general elections in Rivers state, and poor showing of the party in the entire Niger Delta region, which didn’t tally with the investment and projects executed by the APC-led federal government in the region. Those who are pushing for the appointment of Senator Abe for any position in the government of President Buhari are not only jokers, but trying to make mockery of those who risked their lives to get the President elected”, he observed.

He described Amaechi as a workaholic, detribalized and patriotic Nigerian, whose only goal in life is to turn the fortunes of Nigeria around and asked Nigerians to rally round him so as to prevent the intentions of the enemies of Nigeria’s common good from materialising, to the detriment of the nation’s economy and democracy.

“This man’s feats while as the Governor of Rivers State will take a genius to equal his records, talk less of the revolution that he brought to bear in our rail system.

“Amaechi has sacrificed much to enhance the politics of Nigeria. Apart from Amaechi serving as the Director General of the Buhari Presidential Campaigns, a role he had previously played in 2015 and happily delivered on both occasions as the president won his re-election in February”, he recalled.

He pleaded with Nigerians to remember Amaechi in their prayers, saying “to avoid these elements from destroying a man whose love for a better Nigeria is infectious. Amaechi, by his patriotic zeal and commitment, ought not to be made to go through this type of harassment and ridicule by these inhuman fellows”.
