Diden applauds INEC for extending PVC collection date

The commissioner representing Itsekiri nation on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Michael Diden, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for extending the date for collection of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to march 22 saying that extension would give Nigerians ample time to collect their PVCs and exercise their rights to vote in the forthcoming elections.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Warri North local government area in the 2015 Delta State House of Assembly election who was speaking with journalists recently applauded INEC for their effort in distributing over eighty percent of the PVCs.
He however urged Nigerians to utilize the opportunity to collect their permanent voter cards saying that it is a prerequisite for selecting credible candidates to present them in various political offices in the country.
Diden also urged Nigerian youths to shun political violence and sustain peace before, during and after the electioneering period.
