DESIST FROM YOUTH RESTIVENESS, ISAWHE CHARGES YOUTHS

The administrator of Delta State Vocational Education Board, Ozoro Skill Aquisition Centre, Mr Isawhe Augustine has called on Youths of Isoko Nation to desist from youth restiveness and key into any of the vocational courses available at the centre for self empowerment.
Mr. Isawhe made this call in his office while speaking to our correspondent on the issues bothering on the centre and the level of success they have achieved so far since inception of the programme in 2010 by his Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan the former Governor of Delta State.
The center’s boss further added that, the courses available at the centre are: “ICT computer training, catering, fashion and design, hair dressing/barbing, welding and fabrication, air-conditioning/ refrigeration & electrical installation and repair”, noting that the centre has graduated over 2500 students in different trades.
He added that, the forms are available for 6000 and 10,000 naira respectively depending on the type of trade one is going for, adding that, the duration are 6months to a year for any of the courses.
Mr Isawhe also called on the state government to upgrade the air-condition/ refrigerator technical department.
He also harped on the need to install a power plant in the centre or directly link the centre to the national grid as well as rehabilitation of the road that leads to the centre.
He commended the State Employment and Expenditure For Result Project (SEEFOR) for their commitment towards the success of the centre as well as Good Care Technical Service for partnering with them in ensuring that the graduates from the center are equipped with valuable cum relevant skills.
