Delta ‘ll be centre of attraction as Okowa comes to the saddle—Ogeah
BY AUSTIN OYIBODE, ASABA
Following the development going in the state orchestrated by the Emmanuel Uduaghan’s government, Delta State Commissioner for Information, Chike Ogeah, said the state would be turned to a centre of attraction at the end of the next government to be piloted by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Speaking on the landmark project of the present government at the conference room of the Ministry of Information, Ogeah listed various ways in which the current government had touched lives of Deltans, stating that the incoming government would consolidate on the gains recorded by the incumbent government.
He told journalists that one major achievement of the government was the peaceful and secure environment which has engendered better living for all Deltans in the past eight years of Uduaghan’s government.
He said the government equipped the police with vans and security gadgets, noting that though Delta cannot be changed to Dubai in a short time, Deltans are enjoying the good things as dividends of democratic government.
On projects in the state, Ogeah said the state government would commission more projects including the flyover bridge being built at Inter Bau Roundabout.
He said his major project was to complete the digitization project of the Delta Broadcasting Service before the expiration of the present government, saying for the media friendly nature of the governor, he had won media awards more than any governor in the nation.
