Delta LG polls: I am confident of victory, – says Tidi

Immediate past chairman of Warri South Local Government Council and chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Michael Tidi, on Saturday expressed optimisim that with the massive turnout of eligible voters, he will be reelected because of his past achievenents in his first term in Office.
Speaking with newsmen at his Idudu unit 14, Okere ward 6, after casting his vote, Tidi who is seeking reelection as chairman of the LGA, described the election as peaceful.
“The election was very peaceful. You can see the warm reception they accorded us when we came out to vote.
“With the massive turnout, we believe we will be reelected because we went round during our campaign.
“Those who have not voted should come out to vote, it is their right,” Tidi stated.
At Okpe council area, where the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, hails from, the election peaceful.
Oborevwori, who spoke to newsmen after casting his vote expressed confidence that victory is sure for the PDP in Okpe Local Government Area.
“Everybody has accepted the Okpe PDP Chairmanship candidate, Isaiah Isiovwa, as a good candidate who will deliver the dividends of democracy to his people,” Oborevwori said.
