PATANI 2017: PERE NDUKU, BEST CANDIDATE FOR THE JOB, SAY KUGBE, OTHERS

Ahead of the much anticipated Delta State Local Government Election, the Patron of Patani For Good Governance (PNGG) and COE Mospet Oil & Gas, Olorogun Moses Kugbe Peter and others have described a renowned legal practitioner, Barrister Pere Nduku as the best candidate for the Chairmanship position in Patani Local Government Area.

Olorogun Moses Ekugbe Peter, who spoke with newsmen recently after a meeting with a cross section of members of PNGG and some top state PDP Chieftains in Asaba said that Barrister Pere Nduku has become a household name across Patani Local Government Area on the positive side.

He noted that, no matter the efforts demonstrated by desperate politicians to gain emergency access, popularity or acceptability of becoming chairman of the council, it was too late for any aspirant to enjoy the degree of love and support being enjoyed by Barrister Pere Nduku regard his vision 2017, and described him as the choice of the people.

Other PDP Stalwarts who spoke in the same vein, promised to give the Chairmanship aspirant the needed support, as one of them stated categorically that; “If credibility is sacrosanct in our choice of who become the next chairman of Patani council, no amount of money, smear, sympathy campaign or manipulation will change the fact that Barrister Pere Nduku is the choice of the people to address burning issues such as unemployment, poverty, underdevelopment and ethnic divide in the Local Government”.

Describing Barrister Pere Nduku as an instrument of peace, security and development, the PDP Chieftains held out that the time for positive change in the area was now, saying that; “This is the time we should allow our concern for development to take the centre stage and move away from politics of sentiment, feudalism, plutocracy, Nepotism etc, to credibility and a candidate’s ability to make a difference in line with the yearnings and aspirations of the people”.

They also noted that, their choice of Barrister Pere Nduku is strongly informed by conviction of his ability to drive the Local Government on the path of prosperity devoid of selfishness and appealed to those who are still entrapped by political deceit and desperation to look carefully before they leap otherwise, throw in their support without hesitation.

Considering the people’s hunger for all round development, they stated unequivocally that, there is no other aspirant among the known aspirants that parades the political clout and democratic credentials of the legal practitioner, describing him as a unifying factor, bridge builder and patriot with a handshake across communities of the Local Government.

They however, noted that though other aspirants are qualified and have the right to run for the local polls, but it goes beyond that in the business of governance considering the dare quest of the people to salvage the challenges confronting them over the years.

According to the PDP Chieftains;”, We must endeavor to give priority to characteristic elements that will not make us regret our decisions. What more do we need to rally round a candidate if not for public service?”.
