DELTA 2015: RITA EMERHOR CALLS ON DELTA WOMEN TO VOTE FOR CHANGE
Francis Sadhere
Wife of the Delta State All Progressives Party (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Chief (Mrs.) Rita Emerhor, has called on Delta women to vote for change in the forthcoming general elections.
She made the call yesterday, while addressing Delta youth and women who gathered at the resident of Olorogun Emerhor to brainstorm on political mobilization strategies, calculated to sensitize Delta Women on the several years of socio-economic retrogression and acute corruption practices by the ruling PDP which had caused poverty and joblessness in Delta Sate in particular and Nigeria in general.
She said that women and youth in the state have the power to give the APC the needed victory in the upcoming election by voting and protecting their votes, pointing out that Delta women cannot bear the pain of bad governance for another eight years and urged them to spread the message of CHANGE currently spreading across the country.
Mrs Emerhor reminded the women that they are the custodians of our culture and good managers of resources and urged them not to put the future of their children in jeopardy.
She asserted that the women power to effect a change in Delta State is in their permanent voters cards (PVC) which enables them to vote out PDP. she Urged them to collect their permanent voters cards so that they can exercise their franchise.
Also addressing the women and youths, the APC state chairman, Prophet Jones Erue charged them to set aside all sentiments and work together as one and ensure that APC is victorious in the February election.
Earlier, the Delta State APC woman leader, Dr. (Mrs.) Janet Oyubu, advised the women to vote for Olorogun Emerhor, saying that “a vote for APC is a vote for the security of the future of their children.”
