CP OKAFOR COMMENDS BAYELSA POLICE CHILDREN SCHOOL ON EXCELLENCE

The commissioner of Police Bayelsa State, Mr Paul Okafor hasreiterated its total commitment to children education, due to theimportance of education in nation building.
The CP made the assertion in yenagoa during the police children schoolgraduation and prize giving ceremony at the unique police officersmess, recently.
The well attended event of senior police officers and men of thecommand, parents and relatives of pupils thanked the police childrenschool management for their administrative acumen, tasking the schoolmanagement to uphold the standard in both academics and the socialcircle.
“I am actually proud of the children for their excellenceperformance, CP added.”
The Head teacher of police children school, who is the AssistantDirector of Education Mr. Yusuf M.U, while addressing the epoch makingevent noted several developmental achievements of the school, such asthe establishment of pre-nursery class, acquisition of permanentgraduation gowns for both primary and nursery graduates, also,acquisition of permanent cultural outfit and a set of Local drum forthe school. Added to the above, was reclaiming back the lost glory ofthe school this year may 27 marked a turning point for the school.
The police Ambassadors known for dexterity and excellence in march pastproved the stuff they made of by clinching the first position they areever known for.While Mr. Yusufu commended the parent Teachers Association and theexecutive members without whom some of these successes would not havebeen attained.Also, the Head teacher highlighted some of the challenges faced by theschool, which includes lack of passable access road to the school,lack of permanent site and structure as the school is located andinhabited in residential structure, not conducive for academicactivities, lack of basic infrastructures, among others.
The climax of the event was presentation of awards to top performingpupils of the school which includes, cultural performances, newsreading of pupils, and beauty pageant.
Mr. Yusufu thanked the commissioner of police, for his greatsupport to the school ,stressing further and appealing to well meaningNGOs, corporate organizations, government of Bayelsa State forsupport.
